I just purchased my first diesel (06 quad 4x4 2500). . I would like to find out what the masses prefer... Help me decide what type of exhaust to put on my truck... (pros and cons) thx.

If I didn't tow my 5th wheel all the time, I would put stacks on the '06 too. I love the look and sound of stacks. They just take up too much room in the bed and cover the trailer with too much soot.

so I should not purchase the 5" system... I should just get the cat delete pipe and the muffler and I should be good to go. . I plan adding the banks six pack and intake manifold.

As long as the '06 isn't over-fueled and smokey, it shouldn't be a problem with soot at all, unless you get rain down them.

The ISX in the KW only gives a puff out of the stacks when I shift, and haven't had a soot issue, unless the rain gets in around the crappy clamps on the turn-outs. Need to put on some band clamps to fix that.

Has anyone tried adding a flapper cover to the top of the their stacks? I have an old model Thirty Cat with a cover over the stack. Looks cool when you throttle up and help keep the elements out- rain, leaves, bees etc.
