Exhaust Temp

I Recently Put An X-monitor Gauge Set On My Truck And Installed The Pyro Sending Unit In The Intake Manifold As Instructed By Piers. During Hard Acceleration Unloaded, The Pyro Alert Flashes. My Question Is When Monitoring The Manifold Temp, How Hot Is Too Much When Towing?

Maybe it's just a typo, but a pyrometer is meant to monitor exhaust temps and should be installed in the exhaust manifold not the intake as you stated. If it is in fact installed in the intake, move it to the exhaust manifold and you should be OK.
