Just installed my new Westach dual gauge and seem to be getting readings on the boost side of 2/3 - 10 around town, occasionally as high as 20. The exhaust temp seems to hang around 400, easily climbing to 900. These readings are empty and around town. I do live in the foothills of Northern California so I am pulling some grades. Is there a "redline" of concern regarding my exhaust temps? When it does hit around 900 they quickly drop back to the 400-500 range when we reach the top of the grade.

Also, anyone used the muffler elimination kit from Geno's - hows the sound/noise, fuel economy, etc. ?

Thanks,

Tim

You didn't say if you mounted the EGT gauge before or after the turbo.....

Before turbo, I try not to exceed 1100 degrees... . and after turbo temp of 1000*

I'm sure that there are several who exceed these temp's but that what I use as a guideline...
