I like the look of the 5" pipes, would there be any benefit other than cosmetic replacing stock with the 5" from the DPF back?

I would not do any mods to a new truck under warranty! These trucks have become very complex and expensive to repair. Don't give them any reason to deny warranty. Chris

It would be purely cosmetic. The only part of the warranty that would be voided would be the exhaust system dpf back. My truck has the 7yr 100K extended warranty. I've replaced my ball joints, steering gear and some other items. Now thoses things are no longer covered by my extended warranty. Dealer just did the recall for my tie rod ends. No issues from them. So if you like the exhaust and you want it, go for it.

If your truck has a GVWR over 10,000 pounds you should read page 22-24 of your warranty before modifying the exhaust! Chris

I removed my muffler and replaced it with a pipe from Geno's. Slight change in sound. From what I understand the 13-14's have no muffler.

Hey guys Im new to this thread thing; and TDR for that matter. I have a 14' Laramie longhorn 3500 Mega Cab Long bed 4x4 with the max tow package (Aisin trans, 4:10, and 850 lb ft)
Im having a drone problem when I tow certain loads and was wondering if the lack of muffler may be causing this. Ive heard I should add a resonator after all the factory stuff; will this help?

Try dropping a gear. Probably won't change mileage but should stop the drone.

Its Happening in 6th gear, so going down a gear may help. But the trouble is it is only doing it at a combined weight of 22,000lbs. The truck is rated for 37,500. I guess I just want to be able to use all my gears
with no drone at all, at any weight. I mean lets face it; its a $70K truck!

So what does the RAM dealer say? Chris

I don't know WHY but all My 4.10s have the drone, Even after I added another resonator , and that with Banks Muffler (The Best) I'm think that drone is related to DL some how. My 3.42s do not have it.

Its was always worst when towing above 60 MPH.

Strange. No drone on my 2011 with 4.10 gears at any speed, but I certainly had it on my 4.10-equipped 2002 3500 ETH/DEE dually with the Jardine 4" exhaust system - no problems with the stock exhaust.
