Has anyone set up 5" turboback exhaust on an 05 or 06 what results did you notice?

Does anyone know where I can get a 4" stainless downtube for a 06?

anyone know anything aboutthe plugin diesel upgrade called horsepower or luvdiesel? sells for about 700 dollars?

5" exhaust

Call Rip Rook I think its www.sourceautomotive.com He hooked me up with a 5" magnaflow system FOR CHEAP!!! Best price I could imagine and he was super helpful and new what he could do, had or where to get it. He even got me a 6" plished magnaflow tip for an excellent deal. I ditched the magnaflow muffler as it necks down to 4" inside. Ive currently got a Dynomax race magnum bullet but its a little loud. Havent found the right set up yet... . bout ready to call Rip myself :-laf You wont be disapointed.

I put a 5' magnaflow turbo back system (no cat) on mine, nice system,, fairly easy install considering i did it on the ground, but turbo spools up faster,a little louder idling much louder at higher rpm's, put a 5" on because I wasn't sure how far I will take the upgrades yet, haven't hooked up the trailer yet to see the difference,

Well I don't have a 05 or 06, but on my 04, I have a 5 inch turbo back stright piped and man it sounds mean. A SPS62 and 5 inch stacks makes a great growl!!!

me too! i have 5'' straight from the lower turbo outlet to tail pipe with no muffler, it sounds great although my friends say the twins are loud riding in the passenger seat with the windows down?????????? :-laf

Quality Time

TWINS!!! I could only imagine! my wife  get's tired of the "one" turbo making it's beautiful music, she would divorce me if I had two. She already say's I spend more time working/washing/detaling the engine than I do her. NOW I HAVE MORE DAYLIGHT!!! I'm screwed... (LOL) I keep her perty though... :-laf Take care of your machine, it will take care of you.

I threw my mbrp duals in the trash and got the magnaflow 5 system (turbo back), unpolished, w/o the tip. Very well designed system and fit perfecty unlike the MBRP. IMHO magnaflow makes the best exhaust systems gas or diesel.

If you want a true 5" kit do not go with Magnaflow. They have a 4" downpipe as well as a 4" muffler core. It is definately a very nice kit, just not a true 5" turbo back. We went with Flo-Pro because it was the only true 5" TB system we could find.

the magnaflow has maybe a 12" piece of 4" right against turbo, rest is 5", I looked inside the muffler prior to install ,,sure seemed to see straight thru ,without downsizing, but maybe I'm partially blind or something, certainly no restrictions of any kind I could see

Short piece of 4" to connect to turbo outlet then a crappy 4" muffler with a 5" inlet and outlet. As said above I love Magnaflow exhaust systems, had one on my Hemi truck sounded KILLER, real throaty rumble, fit was perfect for both kits. I just dont understand 5" exhaust with a restrictive 4" muffler.

Thanks for all th input

I have been a cummings diesel owner since 86 1st gen,2nd as well as third have had some real screamers. However i have been told changes to the exhaust will not change the performance as much as on previous generations.

unless i really start doing some serious upgrades.

also found out the workhorse mod is repackaged DR Performance system. I'll stick with TST.

thanks again
