I still have the 3" factory pipe on my truck, muffler and all, would replacing the muffler with a piece of 3" straight pipe be beneficial??, faster spool up??, better fuel mileage?? I like the send of them straight piped, I just dont want to spend any money on a 4" sytem right now. What does everyone think about the factory system just straight piped, my truck is stock, except for a K&N air filter and a 16cm exhaust housing from HTT, the pump was advanced and the fuel screw turned in by the prior owner. Anyone have their truck with the factory 3" and straight piped and what do you think about it??

Well I straight piped the truck this morning or should I say a local Muffler shop did, I think the sound is perfect, not to loud, just right, now with my new 16 cm exhaust housing I'm ready for a hot rod pump, and that will be all I do. Thanks

We straight piped my son's 92 and he is happy with it except for all you stack guys that make him want those. :-laf :-laf :-laf

Muffler removal is in the near future for the 92 also, hope i can get it removed with heating and alot of brawn, don't want to cut it off if i don't have to ...

My 93 that I have had for 4 weeks was straight piped the day I got it. I plan on putting a 4" system on, but until I get the extra money the 3" straight works fine. I made a trip from Wichita, KS to Austin, TX on friday and was very pleased with performance and milage. I got 15. 8 running at 70 mph. I know that I slow down I could get better, but I am happy. I have a K & N filter and rebuilt turbo running a 16cm housing. Runs good, no problems, not to nosie just fine.
