been looking at 2008 1ton 4x4 dually . ive had 2001 5. 9 for 10 years now but need a 4 wd . why are there no programmers for 6. 7 banks dont even offer exhaust for it why cant you take all that mess off the exhaust that has to be restrictive . they tell me check engine light will come on . dont they have something to fool computer . what is best cold air for this truck does anyone offer exhaust programming any help would be appreciated

DPF-R "THE" DPF DELETE

There are companies out there that sell "Race Only" stuff to delete the DPF. The forums are full of DPF delete info. Do your homework before you buy. I have seriously considered the DPF-R because it doesn't modify the computer.
I know vehicles made after a certain point in 2009, the computer tracks if it has been flashed. I don't know if a 2008 is flashed by Dodge with a newer file, if it gains that ability.

If you are concerned with warranty, I would leave it alone until it runs out. Believe me, I REALLY want to delete the EGR and DPF, but its not worth it to me.

Smarty or an H&S have the code free programmers along w/ a purchase of a delete pipe, and optional EGR/EGR Cooler delete also.

For the air box, save your money and just search PSM in the search forums and make you own with basic plumbing parts from the hardware store for about $30 bucks.
