And that's not the intentions here!

Just custom -one off- not for everyone- EXOTIC -parts!! Doesnt seem to be so hard does it?:-laf

Where you thinking of a web page for this or a thread on TDR? Again, I think a listing of parts with where to find them would be very helpful.

I would think it would almost have to be hosted on a website of some sort, that we could have linked to the TDR with a "sticky" maybe. Putting it all in a forum like this, would require us to use the "search" features which is something that we can already do as long as the information is here somewhere. Some sort of website, where you could put in a key word such as "Billet Head" and the site would then show you a list of vendors, along with a rating system or with a feedback feature so that users could comment about quality, service, etc... whether it be good or bad. I would think it would have to be a vendor free site, which woudl be tough, that did not allow a vendor to promote there own products, simply cause they paid a fee. It could be done, but it won't be easy.

RD... ... ... ... There really are no secrets down here on HP and what it takes to make it. All parts are the same parts you can get from Dodge or Cummins. The turbos you know about. Nothing special there. Stock cam and and crank. A little pump work. Big injectors and timing. Like David said, the combo of all parts and timing. Remember, timing. It does not take but a little to really make the whole thing stink.

And on the sharing of knowledge. It was not a big thing, but ask Scott about the little bit of advice at Muncie last year with his rail. It worked. And call Bill Fletcher and ask him where he called when he decieded to get a little knowledge on what to do to make power? Maybe not a lot, but the things learned were passed on.

Back to the point. Parts, stock, will make power. So far, about the high 700 HP range.

Really though , loosen up. The veins in your neck are going to pop.

T-bo Thom- :-laf Your a funny guy!! You make me laugh:-laf :-laf !! I know all about the stock parts and their potentials-THAT's WHY I WANT TO SEARCH OUT THE EXOTIC PARTS!! WHO HAS EM- AND WHAT's OUT THERE? I don't want to hear about stock heads, stock cams, stock rods and the like. I want to hear about BILLET HEADS- BILLET CAMS- LITEWEIGHT STRONG RODS ect. You know power stuff not stock... ... . ;)

:-laf :-laf !!!!

Well so far here we have some custom Billet Crickets... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... .....

Racin Duallie,

There are several guys out there making exotic parts. I have several names and numbers and would be happy to share them with you, but not on a forum. Why? Well they do not want their names/numbers posted on the internet (their choice). Its not a secret its just respecting their wishes. As for what guys are running, here is a list of stuff from my old truck that made 886 RWHP.

24v P-pump conversion

PDR stupid pump

PDR head

PDR cam

PDR twins

DTT transmission

AFE Mega Cannon

Nitrous Express custom setup

Areomotive A1000 fuel pump

That pretty much sums it up... ...

JETPILOT- I can't wait to chat!! I've been waiting for awhile now to build my motor unlike the usual or norm! And I hope you have the key to the pipeline!

I seen what the stock stuff gives us- that's why I'm looking elsewhere.

And if you have to ask why- you just don't understand!:-laf

Ok,

I will be testing a trans brake for the 47RE.

When you pull the shifter down in manual low, and energize a solenoid you will be able to make boost and not have to use the service brakes to do it.

After you build as much boost as you need, you release the solenoid and shock the trans with fluid.

Sounds like a shaft breaking good time huh??

Do you think there will be a market for something like this??

Justin-
We only briefly talked about this- are you monitoring the temps of the trans fluid ?
How qwik does the release act on the solenoid? instantainious?

Have you been using this setup at the track?
Did your reaction times change with this for the better or worse?

Your brakes wasn't holding you on the line at what boost psi was this?

Do you have a driveshaft loop(if not better get one:-laf )

I'm wondering about the affects of doing this has on our pressure sensitive automatics?

And finally what have your 60' times changed to using this set up( if your going to track)?

 cool idea... ...

I'm in the house... .

I'll be interested in hearing how Justin does with the trans brake. Jeff had one handed to him to try but since the rules wouldn't allow it, he never installed it. I'm like you RD, really looking forward to seeing how everything lives with one.

I wish I had exotic parts to add. How about intercoolers. Who has the best one you can buy that some of the big HP trucks run?

RD, I got your PM but it didn't contain anything but my text.

 Dang it!!! DAVETD- Something is wrong with my sending of replys to pm's and I can't figure it out!! Your not the first one to say that .....
I don't know what's going on it copies what was sent to me and I hit reply type in reply( and it was a long one to you dave) and hit send and it appears to send ? Then I usually get the same responce you gave me Dave?? I don't know what's going on???????

Greg- morning- you use a Lenco right ? I want to hear the affects it has on our autos that we had beefed to the hilt I know I spent plenty to build my trans to what it is now! I probally COULD have bought a Lenco for what I've done!!

DaveTD- Please PM me with a way to contact you... ... ... .

We have the prototype ATS Trans Brake in the car now, and it rocks.

We are running this weekend at the Mopar Event in Denver, and will hopefully have some numbers to share.

I think that this transmission will be the real deal for us, and for the truck guys, too.
