HELP!! 1993 cummins fan pulley and mount online?

Buddy is swapping it out, already had an 8. 3/Allison/Divorced 205 (so you know he is mechanically inclined). He wants to go smaller, wants an auto, prefers to stay Dodge. How are you all getting the 47RE to work in a swap? Would an early (pre 94) auto work with no computer? Thanks!

So you're saying his Expedition already has an 8. 3, Allison (like a 2400?), and divorced NP 205? He can buy an adapter plate from destroked.com or probably from Cummins to keep his Allison behind a 5. 9. Getting the electronics to work on the transmission will be the hardest part.

If he still has the all of the original Ford parts like the transmission and transfer case, the easiest thing would be to reuse them behind the 5. 9 with a destroked kit. Otherwise, finding a donor truck and just swapping out everything from the Dodge to the Ford would work as well. I'm amazed that the Expedition had room for an 8. 3 and an Allison. Would be great if you could post some pictures.

I do not have any pics... and the 8. 3 is now out. The truck was a total shell when he got it, so all the Ford drive train is MIA. He wanted to ditch the Allison b/c it came from a heavy duty truck and the shifts are too violent for a daily family ride...

If hard shifts were his only complaint, the TCU can be recalibrated, the transmission can be adjusted to shift softer. Even most stock automatic transmissions usually need tuning in my opinion. A Ford 4R100 can be built to incredible strength and is also electronically tunable with equipment from a company like PCS. He can use a GM transmission like 4L80, or grab a 4bt with a turbo 400 from a bread truck, or an Allison 1000-though controlling it would be the challenge. He could use any year Dodge transmission, where there's a will, there's a way.

The way is what he's after... We have access to the chevy adapters, but the last time I priced out a stand alone for a 4L80E it was over $1K... ouch. Already have a 47RE and non-electronic from a 93 around that's why he's looking at how peole are getting around those electronics.

What does he want for the 8. 3/allison/205 setup? I just bought a bus and that would work excellent!

For the transmission control, I didn't go around the electronics. I picked up an ATS standalone controller/valve body for $1000.

I too can't believe he had an 8. 3 in an expedition!

A 4WD bus... that's what I need! He's putting the 8. 3/Allison in an International service truck for the escavating biz.....
