Who, besides me, bought your truck as a Diesel as opposed to a gasser simply because it is the Harley Davidson of trucks. Way cooler than a wimpy gasser. A real man's truck. :D Oo.

I bought my Cummins because I love the diesel cackle, the smell of the exhaust, and the whine of the turbo. A 2500 RAM gasser in the same, only it doesn't have the "character" my 2500 Cummins has.

Lots of people ask me, "What do you haul with that big truck?" -- all I tell em is, "When I haul a$$ I only have to make one trip!"

:D

Definitely true - my truck doesn't turn, stop or go fast in stock form either. It's also obnoxisouly loud when straight piped.

I'm kidding - well, maybe not... ... the similarities are definitely there:D

I really am kidding - except about the straight pipes.

Hey, I thought Powersmokes only Cackled:-laf

Seriously, I've been a truck person all my life. Nothing else says you drive a real truck than a Diesel

very true kev.....

but we drive REAL diesels.....

didnt matter to me the make of the truck as long as it had a CUMMINS under the hood.....

well ok..... i would have thought twice or three times about a chebby or gmc... .

Diesel Boy,

I'm there with you, since my summer time toy is a 2000 Electra-Glide. The Cummins and the Twin-cam have a similar feeling power band-granted the Harley will rev twice as far!

I had my shifter linkage drop off my bike on the way home one evening, I rode 15 miles in high gear- had to stop twice. The Harley has enough torque to chug away in fifth gear. Sounds familiar, don't it!

Yep, That's why I got mine... ... ... All Black Dually Sport... ... to match my All Black Harley... ... . When the bike is in the bed of the truck and I'm goin' down the road... ... ..... I leave a ice slick behind me... ... ... cause it's really @#$*&n' COOL... ..... Drag pipes on the Harley... ... ..... Straight pipe on the truck... ... SOON

Looks and sounds ominous... ... . Talk the talk and walk the walk.

Eric:cool:

I bought mine for the reason that that my dad heard from someone in the parking lot said when I pulled up- NOW THATS A REAL MANS TRUCK!:D

CTD

better yet, mine is a limited edition Harley-Davidson Ram. it says so on the C-pillar. gotta love a truck like this. people ask about the truck, and always remark, about the phord harley truck. i respond that the phord is a "prissy boy" Harley rider's truck--the CTD Ram is a REAL MAN's truck:D :D

Yep, guilty of this one myself.

I keep talking about a camper to justify the truck, but I bought it for the personality.

Of course the thing ought to last forever too, I only have 13K miles on it in 18 months.

Dodge & Cummins

You know your driving the right truck when you pull into a parking lot and women smile at you. Did you ever notice how Dodge Cummins owners walk - tall and proud - we do have the right stuff.

I'll never forget the day I was traveling from Lake Havasu City, AZ west along Interstate 40 and came to the California checkpoint for fresh fruit. The inspector was sitting on his chair when I was about 50 yards away. As I approached, he stood up straight and proud and shouted out "nice truck" and waived me on.

That my good friends is why I drive a Dodge Cummins.

Herb,

You are exactly right... ...

If John Wayne were still here he'd drive one of ours... ... .

James Dean... ... ... . Clint Eastwood... ... ... . Sam Elliot... ... .....

REAL MEN were out of style for a long time... ... . 20+ years... ... .

we WERE the problem... ... ... according to the masses... .....

rough around the edges, tough, hard and opinionated... .....

But since 09/11/01 When REAL MEN jumped to action and gave all... ... . The ultimate sacrifice for the greater good... ...

REAL MEN are BACK and in a big way... ... ..... women are starting to come around and admit it... ... ... REAL MEN are sexy.

Oh Yeah... ... ... This truck is for a MANS MAN ONLY.

Out of all the Doors I've owned my Cummins Ram is the COOLEST RIDE... ... ..... not because it's fast... ... ... . not because it turns on a dime... ... ... . not because it's nimble... ... ... ... You can't ignore this vehicle... ... ..... It makes you look... ... ... and you can read their lips... ... ... Guys..... Holly $%^t... ... . Women..... Ohhhh... Mmmmm... . It's because it looks and sounds good gettin' there... ... ... . and that gentlemen is all that's important

Bein' a chick magnet doesn't hurt either.

Eric

I bought my Cummins for a good reason... ... . to push those rice burners out of my way. Buying AMERICAN is the only way. Isn't Isuzu a foriegn company... ..... :p

man's truck

yeah, eric, i waited a long time for this truck. i've wanted one for years. almost bit the bullet and bought one when i got my'98 dakota. wish i had now. i'd have one of those rarer trucks--'98 12 valve QC SB 4X4. oh well, for my purposes, the 24 valve is easier to BOMB. BTW, did you get my last PM?

I couldn't wait to get my truck. My Dad has a '90, and a '99. I drove the '90 for the first time when I was 16, and I thought it had huge cohones... then I drove the '99... . OMG this truck was sweeeeet. So, I upped the bar... ... . bought a 2001 ETH DEE, and I completely love this truck. The women love it also!

EShaw, you hit the nail on the head, this is for a Man's man...

I love the fact that it is a "mans" world again... ... I love messing with the little **** ant ricers.....

These trucks really leave an impression!

After having the truck over a year and listening to her always razz me about how much time I spend on it or how protective I am of it, the wife drove it for the first time on a road trip that she went on alone. Her vehicle wasn't up to par at the time so she needed to use the truck. She had always been afraid to drive it said it was too big for her. First thing she said when she got home later that week was quote "now I understand why you love that truck... . the power just rolls on... . I felt so cool driving it". Couldn't believe my ears. Also my ears haven't heard any razzing since then at least about the truck anyway. Had to go and buy her a new vehicle so she wouldn't take it over. It is nice driving the bad boy on the block. I still get a big grin every time I start it.
