Was reading the Ford forums and they say Ford has a dealer program at owners expense to change over new trucks for export to 3rd world countrys. Military trucks are converted over. Their trying to find out whats involved. Wonder if Chrysler has programs set up to convert to 3rd world countrys?

i wonder if the 6. 7 that get exported to the 3rd world countries will have the DPF and EGR setup. if it does i feel sorry for those people cause there are not many roads in 3rd WC that you can drive over 40 or 50 mph
 
Thats kinda what info is needed. How to get one set up for Mideast or way below the border. What if anything does the FACTORY have to offer?
 
I was in Costa Rica a few months back. I saw 6 or 7 CTD. One 2nd Gen and 5 or so 3rd Gen. 2 where "'07" body style. I have no idea what was under the hood, but wondered if they have all the emmisions stuff. If they do, I feel sorry for the owner if it needs work. I won't think the fuel down there is good enough for the newer engines. I didn't think Cummins made the 5. 9 anymore, so does that mean there are non-(US)emission 6. 7s?? Man, that would be nice, a non-emmsion 6. 7 with the new transmission... ... :D:D
 
Kinda what I'm trying to find out. Years ago a tech I knew went to a island and they had Nissan 300zxs that were carbs not EFI etc. In fact they had no EFI on anything but sorta the same cars/trucks we had here etc. It might be that the 6. 7 is a U. S. only engine and the 5. 9 is used in 3rd world countrys.
 
So Chrysler makes it difficult or next to impossable to export your own truck as well as the 6. 7 being a U. S. engine only. Ford I bet being LARGER has a program to convert for export etc. I bet. Well it was worth hunting the info. Does it mention which AUTO TRANS IS USED with the 5. 9 in those countrys? Oh well looks to be the 48RE from what I can make out.
