I am debating the extended warranty route on my 2007. 5 w/ 6. 7 just because of the complexity of the beast. I'm at almost 29,000 miles and the three years will be up the end of April 2010. Funds are pretty tight at the moment so my question is will the extended warranty at chryslerwarrantys.com be higher priced if I wait until I get closer to the 3/36 end or not? At the rate it gets driven right now it will hit the 3 years before the 36,000 miles. Probably like everyone that visits their site I got an email with a $185 discount offered but it was only good for a week according to the email, which today is the end of the one week. Will they send me another offer tomorrow or next week for more than $185?

If you do decide to purchase the warranty,do so before the 3/36 expires. Vehicle must be inspected at your expense after that. I got the same e-mail and some members here questioned the validity of the site.

What about CTD warranty, you do have 100K miles on that.

Yes I have the 100k on the engine covered by Cummins but its my understanding that a lot of the external components (ie. . electrical / electronics) are not covered on Cummins warranty. Not sure about the turbo but pretty sure the DPF system isn't covered by Cummins. Does anyone have a clear answer for what Cummins covers in the 100k and what's not?
