I was wondering if it was easer to get warranty work done on an after market extended warranty than a DC extended warranty since DC always waves the VOID flag after engine bombing ?:rolleyes:

that all depends on the dealer you're dealing with .

a member with banks kit on his 99 has had work done with aftermarket warranty , trans rebuild , and had no problem , months later ole leadfoot breaks the output shaft on his trans , drags it to dodge and the dodge dealer calls the warranty company and tells them his truck is banks equipped , they deny , he pays 1300 to fix the truck .

you wanna play , you may have to pay ...

Yes

Most aftermarket warranties will let you pick the repair shop and they reimburse them. Some will mandate you take it to an "approved" shop, but you still have some choice. If all else fails,I have found their warranty reps to be much more considerate than DC.

Forget about the DC extended unless you know your dealer REALLY well,and they don't mind a few mods.

I purchased all my plow trucks from DC,as well as the 5 YR bumper to bumper extended,as they practically threw it in for nothing. They knew we bought them for plowing,and did warrant all repairs under the 3 yr\36000. Then the first time they saw one of them for an extended warranty work the F%$#@N service manager goes and calls DC and tells them it is a plow truck,so DC cancels my extended warranty,on all our trucks. Now,it was hidden in the fine print,they don't cover plow trucks,but they sold it to me and should have backed me on it,especially when NONE of the concerns were even relating to plowing. BTW I did finally get a full refund,after a lengthy fight with DC. Never set foot near that dealer again. Sorry for the long post,just venting

Mopar-muscle;

Didn't Banks® step up and offer to pay the repair bill on the person's pickup, no questions asked?
