Newbie for sure.

Greetings from Eastern Washington

Noob here with a question about extended warranty. I purchased my truck a couple weeks ago. I didn't buy the dealer offered extended stuff. I was wondering if anyone has purchased a plan through the Zeigler Group? If so, is it legit? This truck is my first CTD. Definitely want as few headaches as possible. My truck is a SRW 3500 longbox. I'll be towing a 5er in the future. Any thoughts?

I think that they are legit as I have heard of them before on this or another forum. You could always call the manufacture and ask if they are authorized to sell there warranties.

I would only caution you to be sure that the extended warranty you're purchasing is a genuine FCA factory warranty. I had a 3rd party warranty on my last 2011 Ram that was sold to me by the selling dealer. It was basically worthless. They used every excuse in the book not to pay for anything.

Their are FCA dealers selling warranties online . Don't recall who was said to be best. I guess this is a competitive market . I know I paid a bit to much but they were holding my interest rate hostage. Still question if this was kosher

I purchased an extended warranty last week from Bob Cline at Zeigler and got a heck of a deal. 7 year/125,000 mike bumper to bumper Max Care with $100 deductible for $2025. I’ve purchased EWs from Zeigler in the past and they are a very good online dealership.

My son bought a 2017 Ram 2500 CTD last Friday and purchased the same extended warranty from Bob Cline. The dealer wanted $2800 for the same warranty...I even showed him Zeigler’s deal online but the wouldn’t match it. You really can’t beat Zeigler for price and service.

These things will drive you crazy. Had a Zeigler on a Toyota Rave no problems they paid up every time. Bought a Charger few years back with factory extended W. Think it $1,200. AC door up under dash malfunctioned (not covered) passenger seat broke (not covered) when questioned about why nothing was covered they told me that the a more expensive warranty would cover those things. That’s my experiences with warranties. Got the Chrysler one on the truck but have not needed it yet. Best of luck to you with yours. But honestly the dealership you choose to use can make or break you. That’s my 2 cents.
