My 5 year 100,000 mile warranty is nearing the end of 5 years and I have like 54,000 miles on truck. I called the dealer where I bought the policy and he said they do not sell a second warranty. I want to get 3 or 4 more years warranty and up to 100,000 miles if I can. Anyone got some recommendations on a source? Thanks, bg

Why can't they? I have bought factory extended warranties after I bought a car. Im about to do it with my 08 jeep wrangler

I bought my Mopar MaxCare extended warranty from Diane @ 888-918-9840.
She works for the warranty dept of a brick and mortar Chrysler dealership in Wisconsin that also does internet sales through Chrysler extended warranty, Factory backed extended warranties for Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler vehicles

At the time, they offered a 100k mile/7 year plan which is what I bought. I don't know for sure, but Diane knows her Mopar warranty sales and if anyone could help you extend your MOPAR warranty benefits, I would venture that it would be her. Other TDR members have also had good experiences buying a warranty from her.

All that being said, I would NOT recommend buying ANY aftermarket extended warranty... they mostly make money by denying claims!!

Let us know how you come out. bg

I have already got it all figured out with the dealer, it's just a matter of spending the money. When my 05 viper truck was running out of years ( its only has 7,500 miles) went to the dealership and bought an unlimited factory warranty

Never heard of it... What is an unlimited factory warranty ??

Is that a Max-Care with unlimited miles and unlimited years??

How much was it?

Yeah, I need to hear more about this. Haven't run up on the "unlimited factory warranty". I called the dealer where I had my 5 year/100,000 warranty and was told that Chrysler don't sell extended warranty after the first extended warranty runs out? bg

Just to be sure, you could call Diane at the numbers I posted above.

The lifetime or forever waranties do not apply to diesels, only gas. I tried to get one and was turned down because of the diesel engine. I suspect Dodge knows they would lose their shirts due to the way most people use their trucks for heavy work and hauling, which is what they were designed for.

I bought my 04 last June with 95,000 on the clock, I was able to buy a bumper to bumper "limited" warranty through Chrysler since it had less than 100k. Since is is a Chrysler warranty it is good at any dealer and my coverage is unlimited miles for 2yrs. ( not too bad for a diesel 3500) I have since had the dr seat assy, replaced (bad motor), turbocharger, front u joints, axle seals, etc. cost $200 deductable / visit so I lumped some repairs together but all said; I have got my moneys worth... I dont know if it only applies to "new" buyers. I can get more information if you need.

I am guessing on a Viper truck that unlimited is not from Chrysler

Thank you seafish. I am now good for two more years or 100,000 miles. Joe, who answered the phone number that you posted was very helpful. Thanks again. bg
