OK I had been hearing but NO proof that there is some sort of a life time warranty you can buy for a new dodge truck
anyone know anything about this, or extended warranty's in general for 2016 ram 2500's

If you want you can wait until the 3 year bumper-to bumper is almost expired. But i bought mine within the first 6 months

i am seeing if you plow with the truck and also says TOW with it, in the details, it can void the warranty??
so, that makes me wonder

will see what they say when I call tomorrow

Plowing and towing doesn't void the warranty. Ram has a video saying that if you want the programming for plowing, it's free at your dealer. Apparently, there is a flash to optimize plowing. The trucks are designed to tow.

ok copied this off the warranty page, is a smaller print side now

NOTE: The following vehicles are not eligible for a Chrysler Service Contract: Vehicles equipped with right-hand drive, motor homes, vehicles placed in taxi or limousine service (except vehicles placed in van pool service); vehicles used for emergency service, ambulance, towing or police service, vehicles used for postal, dump truck, snow plow or severe offroad use; vehicles converted from two to four-wheel drive; vehicles altered or converted from the original manufacturer’s specifications; vehicles not used in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications for payload and/or towing capacity; vehicles equipped with a diesel engine; vehicles that operate on other than gasoline or diesel fuel systems (i.e., natural gas, electric, hybrid gas / electric vehicles); vehicles with a gross weight (G.V.W.) of over 14,000 pounds; vehicles where the factory warranty has voided or restricted by the manufacturer; vehicles that have been declared to be a total loss by any insurance company, is rebuilt after being declared a total loss, or is issued a title indicating that it is designated as “salvage,” “junk,” “rebuilt” or words of similar impact.

There is no *lifetime* warranty available from Chrysler for diesel equipped vehicles.

Plowing doesn't void the 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty & 5 yr/100,000 mile warranty. I guess it does void the extended warranty

I bought the Chrysler 7-yr/100K extended warranty on my 2010, and I'd say it's paid for itself many times over. Given the complexity of these trucks now, and the parts and labor costs to repair them, I think you would be nuts to not go for the max warranty you could get.

I've had 3 frozen brake calipers so far, a long-running and troublesome A/C issue eventually resulting in the needed replacement of the evaporator unit under the dash, a leaking power steering cooler, a "bricked" audio/nav unit after an update ($3,800 alone), and numerous other nuisance issues, all covered under the extended Chrysler warranty. It would have been better not to have needed it, but I'm sure glad I bought it!

I'd buy an extended warranty if they promised it started after my factory warranty ran out. I refuse to pay for a warranty that is already covered by the factory warranty for the first few years.

didn't get a reply back from my email I sent them
and got busy and forgot to call today
will try again tomorrow

as for when the warranty starts, I believe you can ADD these at ANY time
older your vehicle, I expect they cost more, due to higher risk of it being used!

What they fail to address has to do with modifications for disabled individuals- civilians and veterans. Your DMV has to be given a form explaining what mods were made, the installing company puts a sticky on the door and the owner is given paperwork that shows the mods. NO warranty can be broken by any manufacture. I went through this with Chrysler when they found out I had a small steering wheel mod done to my Rubicon by the VA.

yeah I had to get all that done a few times for my father, as he only has one leg
every time he gets a new vehicle, I end up having to take them to get modified, hand controls and steer assist and such, and then get certified by the install place that is certified to do the mods
IN case anyone DOESN"T KNOW
Mopar has a discount for handi cap owners when they buy too
they offer a credit towards getting the vehicle modified
a nice thing to offer, but also gather other OEM's have like deals

heard back from them today
they gave me a price on an 8 yr 120,000 mile 8/120 MAXIMUM CARE warranty for $2160.00 , and a $100.00 deductible
tell me its a basic bumper to bumper like warranty,.

SO have to think this over, its set to have start the DATE I got the truck and NOT from NOW if I activate it!
anyone have any thoughts on if they think this is a deal or not??

Good price for that warranty! i paid a few hundred more for the same one. SNOKING

I think it is a good price. Price depends on your trim and options. Since Snoking has about everything on his truck, they charge a bit more. My Tradesman was about $1000 less. But i got Max care for only 7 years/70k

It doesn't cover the DPF though. Once the federal emissions warranty runs out, they won't warranty that.
