heard back from them today
they gave me a price on an 8 yr 120,000 mile 8/120 MAXIMUM CARE warranty for $2160.00 , and a $100.00 deductible
tell me its a basic bumper to bumper like warranty,.

Interesting...I called on 1-9-16 and they told me $3910.85. So yes, as stated it appears to be trim related.

I also can't get over the warranty on top of existing warranty thing. Redundant!

SO have to think this over, its set to have start the DATE I got the truck and NOT from NOW if I activate it!
anyone have any thoughts on if they think this is a deal or not??

This is precisely why I don't like extended warranties. If the ext warranty started the day my OE warranty ended, I'd support the idea. To some degree, I'd be purchasing a warranty for something that already has an existing warranty.

After playing with my new truck the last couple of days, I'm reconsidering my decision not to buy the ext warranty. If we decide to pull the trigger though, it will be on the 11th hour, just before the offer is not an option.

There is no *lifetime* warranty available from Chrysler for diesel equipped vehicles.

Agreed

They do offer 8 year 120k mile warranty.

If you sell your truck before the warranty runs out they will refund a portion of what you paid. Amount depends on age, miles etc.

Not all companies offer this.

They told me if I never use the warranty before it expires they would refund the initial price.

I did not know that. I suppose if it was in writing and with a factory extended warranty I would try really hard to not take it to a dealer for repairs.

Another plus with extended warranty is the first day rental car.

With my 06 the blend doors were replaced twice under warranty which alone paid for the extended warranty.

The only problem was when they broke a third time out of warranty. OUCH it was hard to fork over the cash.

It would have almost cover buying a 2nd extended warranty when the other one expired at 100k mi.

It was a great truck but the 15 is way better. Only 30 more payments to go!
