'Looked' nice rbattelle. How about using a steel rod instead of aluminum? Painted or powder coated would look nice.



Sounds like a young duffer who thought he would lie to cover up his screw up. Plus, it sounds like a dealer who won't step up to the plate to keep a customer happy - go figure.

BTW, I did paint the shaft satin black... looked absolutely factory. I do have a stainless rod I bought at the same time in case I decided to make it with that. But I generally prefer to work with aluminum because it's easier to "machine" with my extremely limited "machine shop" (drill press, hacksaw, anvil, 3-lb hammer).

you need to upgrade that 3-lbs to at least 8lbs. then you can really motivate the stubborn stuff...
