I am replacing the front rubber flexible trans lines with 1/2" lines (no quick disconnects) because one was leaking. I bought a filter adapter to add an external transmission filter. Which way does trans fluid flow: from the trans, to the water cooler, then to the air cooler, then back to the trans? Where do i want to put the filter in the system, after the coolers, or before the air cooler. Do i want fluid entering the outside of the filter and leaving through the center of the filter?

I am runnung the lines now and realized i hadn't thought of this.

Thanks

Yes, you are correct on how the fluid runs.

I mounted my filter on the return line, after all the coolers.

Your filter adapter should have a bypass valve in it.

If not, most filters themself do.

The fluid would enter from the outer portion of the filter, and exit the center.
