External transmission mods to handle more power?

I want to add more power to my Dodge. Currently I have the Dyno Sources box, and i get transmission shudder. What can i do to the transmission to make it more durable and more capable of handling more power, WITHOUT having to remove the transmission. Your thoughts are most appreciated.

You can put in a valve body. You don't have to remove the transmission, just drop the pan, basically unbolt and bolt in a new one. It's not too hard. That'd help. I have one from Diesel Trans Tech. Had it for a year now, I feel it's done it's job, I'm still on my stock TC. I'm in the process of getting a new one though, not due to slippage, but because I want to add more power and be faster yet. Also BD has VB's and they have another external pressure adder. I've had no experience with it, so I dunno how it'd perform.

You can turn pressure up.......

It requires dropping the pan. Not really hard to do just a screw adjustment. Call Bill K. at DTT and ask his advice on how much to raise it depending on your driving style. IE: Racing /towing etc.



That will work for a while. Ultimately you should save up for the DTT rework. It's like having a brand new truck. Incredible difference over stock. Have to warn you though, if you test drive someone's truck that has it you'll never be happy with your stock one again.

The stock VB will not make the pressure needed to handle the box you have. Get a new valvebody in there ASAP, the transmission will die if you don't. If it were my money I would send it to DTT. Hope this helps.
