I'm running twins with an external wastegate that dumps into the second turbo. Currently the wastegate has a spring and an adjustment screw but can be configured to work with regulated air preasure. What would it take to set this up with an in-cab controller to adjust the wastegate?

what type of gate is it? does it have air fittings top and bottom or only one? I have a 38mm gate with both air fittings and boost is set by limiting the air to the top line that holds the gate shut. the spring will hold "X"psi and then DP will over come that usually 7-8psi with both lines tapped to the turbo fitting equally it would make no difference. so use a regulator/limiter of some kind on the line holding the gate shut so it can open when you want.

Thanks for the reply. I dont have much info on the gate but I think its a Tial either 35 or 38 mm. It does have the two air fittings as you describe. Where did you plumb the air from? I do not have access to a Dyno so it's difficult to determine when the gate is opening with the spring this is why I was thinking of using the air fittings and remoting the control so I can adjust under load while watching EGT's. Any advice you can give would be great. Thanks

easy. I have 2 different boost elbows but you could just use a "Y" and an inline valve to the top fitting and fully shut it. that will give you the lowest opening pressure, then turn the valve a 1/4-1/2 turn at a time and the boost will rise as the gate starts to stay shut longer. watch both gauges and try to get the top turbo to gate @ 40psi total so WOT will yield a 50/50 ratio.
