Extra Clearance lights

[RHARVEY]

I want to connect 3 clearance lights that I installed on the front of the truck. I have the wire ran behind the drivers side park lights and now I need to know which and what color wires do I need to connect to.

If I connect them to the wrong wires. . they will blink when I use the left turn signal... and that would look stupid...

Any wire experts... I need advice please... .

Rick,

You need to connect to the BRN/YEL wire for your lights.

Does it make a difference which way they go. Is one a ground and the other positive????

This cracked me up..... reminds me of those folks who have done some rewiring... . and then you see their parking lights (on the front of the car) come on every time they hit the brake pedal!!

Your lights should be self grounding. The BRN/YEL wire is for the park lamps. (one wire)

about 20 years ago I did a home wiring job so I could pull my camper , I was so proud, hooked up the camper and took off for the hills and when we came to the first junction that required a blinker, my trailer brakes were going on off on off on off, the wife looked at me and laughed and said yep you wired it in allright .

How About This

I have the factory running lights on the roof, wood like to add 2 more to this group, is this legal in W. A. ? Has anyone done it ? Just think it would look cool & different thats all. thanks---Proflow

Proflo, you can have as many lights as you want but they do have to be the right color, in other words you cant put red lights on the top of the cab and things like that... ... ... ... ... Kevin

Hooked up 2" rams head brake light in my hitch socket. You guessed it flashing with left turn signal!!! Oh well, I need to find a way to stop it just not sure how!!!! I though I be smart and hook ob both left and right wires to rams head and you guessed it everything flashes. I hate it when I out think myself!!!!:--)
