Last night I brought up the site and at the top was one of the very many ad's (can't remember which one) that among other things talked an extra lift pump.

This is a new idea to me but it can not be to all of you experts. What do you think about two lift pumps? Will there be to much pressure to the 44 for things like cold engine starts?

Would like some thoughts.

Thanks

The kit we offer adds a secondary lift pump back by the tank, but still uses the stock lift pump in it's original location. My truck has this setup and runs 22-23psi at idle, 11psi or so at WOT at 510rwhp.

This kit has been used successfully on trucks up to 740rwhp. Stock fuel filter can with fuel heater stay in place and are used. Cold weather starts are not a problem.

hey keith,

what does your set-up run and how hard is it to install? i cant afford to keep replacing these lift pumps. :(

SWEdholm, run a search on "pusher pumps" in the 24v engine and drivetrain, you will find more than enough reading material to educate yourself on the idea of two lift pumps.

Two lift pumps

I had 2 lift pumps on my truck for over 2 years. I changed all my fuel lines to 3/8 fuel lines and remover all banjo bolts i took the 2nd lift pump off and moved the stock pump back at the fuel tank. I got tired of changing lift pumps every year at a cost of over $100. 00 each time I change it. So farr everything is working good. I get a good 15 psi at the vp44 pump at wot I still have 12 or 13 at the pump I'm around 400 rr wheel hp.
