I would love to install some extra lights for offroad use, and onroad revenge:) hehe.

I have had very good results with the Hella lights, and I am looking at the Rallye 4000 models.

I am soliciting thought/opinions/ ideas on which brand you have had good results with as well as where and how to mount them.

Which beam pattern did you get (pencil/fog/driving/euro/cornering)? Mount on the bumper or on light bar? Pros and cons?

I don't mind paying extra for a quality product, but I won't shell out the big dough just because of some name on the box.

BTW-- Has anyone added HID lights? They are beaucoup dollars, but you definitely won't see that very often!

I use lightforce lights... they are unique in the fact that they can be focused to meet your needs (like a giant maglight flashlight). You can also get filters and diffusers to use with the. They are very bright and so far have been quite dependable.

I see these lights on the big rigs here in AK all the time. They will run 6 of them up high. It looks like the sun is coming up when they come over the top of a hill :D

I have a pair of PIAA80xt's that are wired to come on with my high beams, or I can have them off all the time. I had a pair of Hella's Ralley 2000, but they don't make those anymore. The 4000 were to thick to mount on my TJM bumper. The Hella's would throw a farther beam, but the PIAA's would have a wider beam. I perfer the PIAA's over the Hella's for a few reasons. PIAA's smaller so it is easier to mount with out sticking out too far. Smoother and wider light pattern. I can use the as high beams and turning them on and off seems not to harm them or the bulbs. I had to replace the Hella bulbs ever 6 months or so. I had to adjust the Hella's lights because gravel roads would cause them to move. The PIAA's I adjusted just once and that was when I installed them back in June.

I don't care for roof mounted lights. If you do decide on them go with the pencil beam, the others will reflected off the hood and back into your eyes.

Now I just need some good fog lights.
