Anyone see the new show Exteme 4X4 yesterday, 1/1/05? They installed the Kelderman air suspension on a new 2500, 10" of lift and some huge tires, pretty cool setup. The show showed all the parts and what is involved in installing it. The show always has the same episode on on Saturday and Sunday so it will be on again this afternoon, it shows here at 1:00 EST. Then on Trucks TV at 1:30 they put a complete Bully Dog system on a Duramax and then towed a 130,000 lb trailer!! pretty crazy stuff. Check it out today if you have a chance.

The tivo is set to record this afternoon.

I was kinda hoping they were going to be building/modding/ showing "real world" trucks, on the trail and such. Not shiney, way to tall new trucks for looks. Oh well, maybe they will get into that later. I just don't get thrilled by shiney show trucks with tall rubber and lifts, that would not be able to take on a curb with out causing problems.

I kinda remeber something about a air bag lift kit on a Hemi. I was to busy drooling at the hottie installing it! :D

I just saw the show and was pleasantly suprised. I was more interested in the race trucks, then I was in the pavement pounder they built. It was cool that the first project of the show was a air ride kit from Kelderman here in southern Iowa.

The girl that could weld, that was a nice touch. Guess I gotta start training the wife. :-laf

This weeks show they put Baer brake rotors and Performance friction brake pads on the same Dodge 2500 with the 13" Kelderman lift. Pretty cool, good to know there are companies out there making aftermarket rotors and pads now. The show is on at 1:00PM EST on Spike TV, on Saturday and Sunday, worth checking out.

I loved the one quote from the first episode: "If you don't know how to remove leaf springs, you should be watching the women's channel" :)

I also thought the automatic fold-down running boards were really nice, too... till I looked them up and found out they go for $1250

I saw it today and thought it was pretty good. I liked the jeeps that kept rolling over on the rocks. It was a nice change from just watching a years worth of reruns of "Trucks". . Stacy has been building a 67 Chevy "copperhead for 2 YEARS NOW and still hasnt finished it! :--)

Actually, Copperhead is finished - he just hasn't done the wrap-up/test-drive show with it yet. The Hairy Hauler, on the other hand, was started back when Mel Flair was still with the show, and THAT'S still not finished. Just when you thought the chassis was done, he decided to tear it apart. I could agree with the surgery on the rear suspension that he did - taking out the whimpy 4-bar setup and putting in a much beefier setup... but taking out the built, blown, 650HP+ monster (and the whole reason for the wheelie bars), and replacing it with a mild 350-ish HP Hemi (Mopar nostalgia aside), was just DUMB.

(Think I watch this show every now and then? :))

This one must be filmed in my area two (like TRUCKS and HOT ROD TV) because when they were test driving that 3rd Gen HEMI on the show this morning its the same stretch of Vietnam Veterans Blvd. (386) that the other two shows do their testing on.

Nice show however I will watch it! Oo.

What do u guys think of the retractable running boards. I thought that they were pretty slick. I searched around but really couldnt find any vendors of their products?

the show was damn good I going to look at a lift like that for my truck know and yes jess is damn hot and the running boads was cool. it had a adjustal lift from 5" to 13"

They're supposed to cover a race I was it in Hot springs in early March- it was cool, they interviewed my 11 yr old son. The crawling guys on the recent show are all good friends:)

That Kelderman lift was pretty cool. That big red dually of Kelderman's they sowed on trucks a while back is pretty *****in'. I see it quite often whenever I'm in Oskaloosa, since Kelderman's shop is a few miles east of town.

I watched what I believe was the second show on that Dodge where they put on exhaust, sway bar, brakes, etc. I noticed 2 things. First, there was no front driveshaft on the truck. Second, when the dude was reinstalling the brake caliper on the back he had the brake hose completely twisted up.
