Yep throught the firewall via Aluminum pipe, then cooled by Ice Water. There are no boots on the hole system, not one. It's all done with flanges with O-ring inserts.

Jim, is this a mustang? Those guys are getting out of hand! 380ish cid. single turbo'd cars with under 35 psi making 2000hp????? Thats crazy.

99' was a 6 cyl at one time now it's a 25. 1C MDRC racecars special, you'll see it next season in NMRA 10. 5 outlaw... . bad to the bone and way trick, out of the 6 they have put out it's more trick than Mike Smith's. . by a little and Todd Flumans but there cars are bad too... . nice folks!

Ice water is cool (no pun intended... ) but the really cool intake charges are achieved with intra-cooling.

They use an A/C system evaporator core (and all other necessary A/C components) and flow the charge air past that. The obvious parasitic loss from turning the compressor is one downside... but some tests have shown gains above and beyond this fact.

Both of these systems can have below ambient air temp intake charges... . which is sweet on gassers, but is questionable on diesels. The common goal is to remove the heat produced from the forced induction compressed air.

The best one of these yet runs a 91mm turbo, FAST sequential fueling, 160lb/hr injectors, in a 358 cube small block ford, racepac says 60 degrees intake temp.

Jim

Gotta love the below ambient temps for the gassers... .

91mm? That's not quite a 120mm+ "thumper"..... it ain't a big turbo unless you can fit your fist down the discharge side of the turbine and have a lot of room on all sides to move around. :D

Remember, NOS will spool any turbo or combination of turbos thereof. :-laf

Oh okay... . I keep forgetting about them there rules.

I had a ProCharger P-600B that I was going to put on a 4. 3L 90° V6... . It chewed up a rod bearing a week before I installed it. So I axed the centrifugal supercharged gasser idea and bought the Cummins/Dodge.

ProCharger makes sweet blowers... . but I still like turbos a lot more.

I had a ProCharger P-600B

You wouldn't believe what a FC-3 or 4 will do, they are running away from the turbo's. Procharger has got some new really trick stuff coming out this next year that was two years in the making... . very cool stuff,.

Jim

There's just something about the 200+hp required to turn those full-race version suckers at full boost that doesn't appeal to me.

They are nonetheless VERY impressive.
