I was driving the other day and I did a few 1/4 mile runs with my Gtech sensor. After I finished the 3rd run, I noticed the truck was running very rough at idle, but at about 1800rpms it would clear up and run fine.

I pulled the injectors out last night, and everything seems okay, but how do I check them. Should I take them to my local diesel mechanic and let him check them or what. Is there anything else that could lead to these symptoms? I have also noticed a knock which sounds like the same knock I had when an injector failed previously.

Could it have been a really bad batch of fuel? Did you try and put a fuel additive in to see if that helps. Was there any smoke coming out of the exhaust at idle?

Well, it constantly smokes at idle, but occassionally there would be a blue-ish smoke at idle when it was exhibiting these characteristics. I haven't run any additives, and I have decided it must be bad fuel. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't my CP3 failing.
