How much oil does a typical fast food place yield?

filter for waste engine oil

10. 71 billion, holly Smokes !!!!!! As a user of veg oil , think i just got 10. 71 billion reasons to keep trying this stuff

the usa imports 78 million dollars worth of petrol products a day, yes a day just to keep this country running .

All I can say is 38 billion for the year thats over 100 million a day and Remember EXXON or any other refiner by law must sell to a bulk company (more profit) then to a retailer (more profit) then to the consumer (that ' s us !!!)

this is wrong

Yup, Exxon 4th quarter profits were up smartly, (27% net increase for the quarter according to the WSJ). But to put it into perspective, many company profits were up for the quarter. For example, Canon who makes printers, cameras, and copiers, saw a net increase of 34%, beating Exxon/Mobile based on percentages.

This is both good and bad... I don't like seeing any of my money ending up in Exxon's pocket, but high fuel costs will spur a big interest in biodiesel and more fuel efficient vehicles in general. The US NEEDS to reduce our dependancy on foreign fuel/oil. This is obviously not a big item on Bush's ajenda, but I hope it is in the next administration.

Yep, that's a lotta dough... . but, if you put in a bit of perspective it's not huge... . lemme explain.

They generated $10. 7B of profit on just under $100B of revenue. So, their net IBT was about 10%. This means that if Exxon suddenly decided to "take one for the team" and operate for a full year at an IBT of 0% (ie, they did nothing but cover their costs and made no profit), the cost of a gallon of diesel at Exxon stations would only go down by about 10%.

Now, would not paying that 10% help out? Of course it would, but it wouldn't get us back to the land of paying <$1 per gallon as we did not so long ago. All I'm saying is that the American oil companies are not the only devil in the equation.

Food for thought... .

Cost Of Fuel

Been away for a while, good to catch up.

I tried a fuel additive product a weeks ago to try to increase my MPG. I was very sceptical about it, thought it was just another scam, but thought if it works great. If not what the hell, it is worth a try.

I was averaging 15. 1 MPG on my 04 1 ton dually. With this bio-powder stuff aI am getting 19 MPG with the 2nd treatment. They say it should get better. I was lucky to get 400 miles out of tank of fuel. I am over 400 now and still have 3/8 of a tank left. I am looking to get 500 miles on this tank. I was on a site today that informed me that at 15. 1 MPG you use 6. 623 gals of fuel per 100 mile. At 19 you use 5. 263 per 100 miles. That is 1. 360 gals less. www.convert-me.com $2. 60 X 1. 360 = $3. 54/100 miles. I did the math and that comes out to $17. 70 / 500 miles. A 1000 mile trip would be $35. 40. So I can see the savings adding up fast. The cost of product was $40. 00. It enough to treat 300 + gals of diesel. Each tank full costs about $1. 00.

Any way I am impressed so far. That is 25% better milage.

You just might want to check it out. www.getrdone.mybpbiz.com

Huge profits for a HUGE industry.

Think of what it costs to pull the stuff from the ground, refine it and get it to us at the pump and you'll see the price is cheap.

Not to mention what it costs to maintain a refinery, we should be happy the fuel is available, not to mention long lines.

No flame suits required.

Mac

That's if they are not cookin the books enron style!!! They turn swamp scum from 300 million years ago into refined products, i. e. , their raw material is essentially free!! Can a textile producer do that?no! automaker? no! no one except them gets their raw material free except for miners, fishermen, and farmers. But you don't see any of those with total market control to damage our wallets!
