Hi All,I am in the process of buying some performance enhancements, and would like some input. First off I own a 98. 5 24 valve auto. I want more power but dont want too compromise my transmission. Do you think that I can get away with an ez box and injectors without doing any harm to the transmission? Also which ez box would be the best for the truck.

To my knowledge, there is only one EZ box. As far as your transmission, I believe it would depend on which injectors you bought and how heavy your foot is.

Let me see if I can quote myself one more time: "The EZ box is the single best enhancement that you can do for your 24V Cummins". If you need a little more, gauges and a set of 275s. I read your sig. and notice you have some sort of exhaust system. If it is equal a 4" then you will be fine. As to the trannie, a lot will depend of you... ... ... ...

I have an EDGE EZ, they also sell EDGE COMP and a few other boxes I think. I also have 275 injectors and my trans is stock. (auto) Just turned up the line pressure on the valve body. No problems to date. If you do not have a larger air filter and larger flowing exaust (or muffler delete) your EGT will run high. ( at least in my case).

Cleaner, EZ and injectors will be too much for the stock transmission. I see you run larger 285 tires, and your gear ratio 3. 54's. How many miles are on your transmission?

The first time you tow anything you'll notice TC slippage with both injectors and an EZ.

As far as the best single thing to do. It was stated in this thread. The EZ.
