me and the bro installed some dd1's in the truck the other day, and it runs great, but I was expecting at least a little jump in boost, but diddnt get any, still got the lil hy9 and a j hook, anybody else getting 25psi max boost with my setup. or am I looking at a boost leak.

I'm getting the bosch 275's in my truck so I'll let you know if I see a higher boost as soon as I get the truck back.

With the Edge ez and it's boost elbow, the highest I can get is 28psi. I know that stock it ran right around 22 psi.

I'd like to see my boost ride right around 32 psi if possible... .

With an ez and jammer1's mine will hit 30 psi with no problem. An ez does perform boost fooling. With a automatic you probaly have a smaller tubo thats efficency range is not a whole lot higher than 25 to say 28. Im sure some one can give you more ironclad numbers than I can. Just wondering with this type of setup what clutch are the 6 speed owners running that tow. not to get off subject

Wow, Jumping off topic kinda quick like, Snidley1 where are you from? Im in boone!

as far as the boost question with my box on level one without the injectors and stock turbo i was getting 23-25, considering level 3 could probably compensate a little for those stick i could get 30. I would check codes for overboost, i dont think the ez has a boost fooler but it might!

Sorry about Jumping of topic so soon man. My clutch started slipping today with pretty much that same setup thought someone looking at thread might have an answer. No trying to hyjac anybodys thread . By the way neighbor I live in ashe.

I get through Boone every once in a while. And im sticking with the answer that the ez does boost fooling though.

what your describing is the boost elbow, that raises boost by redulating the wastegate on the turbo. boost fooling is in the electronics of the fueling mainly the map sensor. if the sensor reads higher than normal boost then it will defuel the motor to bring boost where it likes it.

When I was running an EZ only, I had a max boost somewhere around 31-32psi. When I added DD3's, I had a max boost over 35psi... anywhere between 35-38psi.

The EDGE EZ is a boost fooler...

I slipped my stock clutch with just the EZ...

That should do it, maybe the j-hook was weak. Don't run much more that 28 psi on the HY9 or you are actually going to drop HP and your EGT's will get hot. I know you can push it to 45 or so but you will see no gains at all. I would shop for a new turbo now.

max boost I hit at the track last weekend, 35 psi. 5x5. pyro doesent get past 1300. aroung town 3x5 30psi and 1200 max egt. seems pretty safe to me. when I go drag comp I'll upgrade the turbo. I was hitting 25 psi boost and 1400 egt, before the wastegate wire shut.
