Has anyone with an EZ and DD2s made a dyno pull before?? Just curious. Thats going to be my next BOMB my truck is overdue for some more HP :D I think my stock clutch will hold that fine... . after a clutch is PE COMP for me :D

We had Hiperf360s truck on a dyno for over an hour and made 25 pulls lol. But got kind of carried away with the big numbers(445 1080) and forgot all about turning the FMS off and making a pull with just the EZ and DD2s.

TIA

Greg's working on it I believe. Soon as he says something I'll post it. Hopefully its 3rd or 4th weekend in Jan... ... . so I am sure to have my new turbo.

I know there is a formula for figuring torque. Instead of looking it up and figuring it for myself, I am going to whimp out and ask what kind of torque that combo makes? Thanks all

Hmmmm wonder what my EGTs would be like the DD3s and the EZ. I rarely tow heavy but when I do its about 10K roughly

I don't think the torque calculation works to well on Diesels lol. I am sure it would be way low. Like I said earlier Hiperf 360 threw down 445hp and 1080ft lbs. So I would think the diesel formula would have X2 in it :D

With DD3's and the EZ on my truck (along with PDR turbo and 4" Exh) I can get my EGT to 1150. This is in 50-70 degree outside temps... ...

Well someone give me a guess at the HP with my mods, my PE is a reg type.

Thanks,

John

Should be around 350

I would guess around 350 hp at the rear wheels +/- 10 hp or so depending upon the exhaust and air filter on an ETH.

So...My ETC is putting out 381hp???

See sig...

That would seem high to me, but if it were true I would be very happy!:D It seems like dynos vary a GREAT deal. DAWG1 dynoed his @ BD dyno days (mustang dyno)this year with DDII's, a Comp box and PDR turbo and 'only' put out 383hp. His was a 2001 ETH with the 6spd. How could an ETH with just DDII's and an EZ box put out more power than an ETH w/Comp box, DDII's and a PDR Turbo? The more I see dyno numbers posted, the more confused I become. I will be dynoing my truck in Feb, but now I am wondering how accurate my numbers will be.....

Can someone help me out here?

no you are not putting out 381....i don't think...

Yours is a ETC, his was an ETH. I think he got lucky and got a good truck. Power seems to vary from model to model really. Gitchesum dynoed with nothing but his stock fuel plate slid all the way forward, and an K&N and raked up 290.

For an accurate dyno number, goto about 4 different shops, and get about 4 pulls each. This SHOULD even out the field in turms of operator error, and other mishaps. Even then you can't be 100% accurate about the power you are putting out because little things like humidity, temp, and altitude will have a big difference on the #'s.

I would say that an EZ, and DD2's would put out about 330+/-10. Just a guess though.

I banged out 298 hp on Saturday with 275's, an EZ, BHAF and Dynomax exhaust system... . not sure what DDII's would add-maybe another 30 hp or so? That's on an ETH. Scott's ETH with DDIII's, a turbo and boost fooler (no fueling box at all) pounded out 368hp!

I've read that a Mustang dyno is more accurate, and that a Dynojet's numbers are usually a little higher.

Here's what I got a couple of months back:

DD2's, Edge-ez, HY35 (No boost elbow installed at this point, max boost at the time was 26psi), K&N in the stock box, 4" exhuast-turbo back: 274 rwhp. Should have been around 300 with a boost elbow. Additionally, I have a dually and was told this will take up about 25-30rwhp, so a 2500 should be 300-350 rwhp.

This wason a dynojet dyno.
