started truck, put in gear & it died. found that i had to give some throttle (1100rpm) & drop in gear to keep from stalling. first gear would hold till i let off throttle & until it shifts it would put out lots of white smoke. also got studder sometimes. thought it would be crank sensor i picked one up & went to friends shop. put scanner on & got p061 i think. i did not write it down. it came up inj. pump. so changed fuel filter & never got it started again. got all air out of lines & primed to the inj inlet. going to cummins tomorow for full diagnostics & hopefully good news. i have an edge ez and stage 1 injectors. my fuel press. gauge(pre filter) shows 14psi. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

There is a spooky number of people (myself included) questioning that the EZ has baked their VP recently. I hope this is not the case.

Keep us up on the information that Cummins tells you. I hope it is something simple and cheap.

My VP seems to be OK, and the 0216 (injection pump timing failure) has not returned, and I am not having any symptoms of a dead or dying VP. I did set another 0234 (overboost code) yesterday, so Monday I call EDGE and get a replacement.

i dropped it off at cummins south today. they ran diagnostics & did not come up with inj. pump code. no word yet. i hoped more people would have imput on this, but it sounds like this is not a very common problem. will update when i have news
