where to buy spa gauges?

Has anyone reading these forums ever installed an EZ Edge (or a Van Aaken) or even a fueling box such as an Edge Comp or Power Edge, or TST Powermax 3, on a motorhome equipped with a Cummins 24 valve 5. 9 ISB ?

My uncle would like to talk with you if so. He's wondering exactly how much benefit he will see from a gain of 65 HP.

Throttle response, fuel mileage, etc. Is it worth the expense?

Please email me if you have done such an installation, or know someone who has. -- email address removed --

I have on my dads truck.

EZ is low but safe, comp is to much at level 3 sub 3.

Mileage does increase.

Interestingly enough my dads makes 1350 degrees with the box off, on level 2/5 1300 with mo power:D

good to hear from you Turbo Tom.

Thanks, Adam, Willard. Hey Adam, was the increase in power satisfying to your dad?

I have a Van Aaken, I can hook it onto my uncle's motorhome, but I'm kinda scared to, as he doesn't have an EGT gauge hooked up. He will buy such a gauge when he gets the EZ Edge, but mainly, he wants to know if the power increase really was worth the expense.....

I'm not exactly sure of the gains for the va because I've only tried the ez and comp. I know one of the difs between them is the ez adds a little fuel and that is more of what is felt. I would not add anything to a rv without a guage. These things are working ot in my opinion, I even think in my dads case the rv is to much for the little motor. The think gross' like 27k without a vehicle/trailer in tow. I also have been driving it out of Salt lake on that like 12 mile 6-9% grade and seen the water temps get up to 230+ so even the rv cooling is taxed with stock power.

Anyhow I would not put any more power in without a guage.

Adam, what part of the exhaust manifold did you drill and tap for the pyro probe? The manifold on these 275HP ISB's is quite different than on our trucks... .

Last April BD Dyno days Brian broke the dyno with the BD motorhome/ VA combo on the dyno :( :( :(

Not one other truck dynoed that day.

Cummins has a 300 HP upgrade available depending on your CPL. It should be cost affective. I wouldn't push the engine any more then this in a motorhome since the power demand percentage is much higher then a PU which these boxes seem to be marketed towards. I think Cummins fuel curves would be better in a MD vehicle where RPMs are governed at 2500.

Briar I just drilled and tapped at the easiest local but course before the turbo.

Bob you sure that was what broke the dyno? I'm very glad it wasn't the late night tuning we were doing:D  the night before with my truck.
