I'll start with the EZ question :-laf :

I recently purchased a used EZ. When I opened it up there was no jumper to adjust between the three settings. What effect is the EZ having without the jumper? Can I pick something up at a Radio Shack to use in place of the missing piece?

FP guage:

When I installed my FP guage I decided to mount the isolator over by the fuse/relay box on the fender. To do this I added a 12" grease gun hose to the Geno's Schrader valve hose. Does the increased distance effect fp readings? I'm getting 13 idle, 9-10 cruise, 4-5 WOT.

Also, Does outside temp effect fp readings? I noticed a drop of about 2psi across the board last week when we saw single digits and teens around here.

Thanks in advance for your help,

Brian

What fluid do have after the isolator, if it oil, it will thicker at the low temperatures with no possibility to warm up. Mine uses glycol (antifreeze)

i run my guage with no isolator and i also notice a drop in fp last week when we had temps in the teens. I read somewhere that the EZ goes into the lowest setting when the jumper is gone.

What Blake said about the jumper being removed is what I've read also. I keep my jumper on the EZ set at the lowest setting to keep smoke level at minimum. Level 2 & 3 driving in the Sierras gives a pretty good puff of smoke on take off. If you need a jumper call Edge, I'm sure they could provide one for you.

OK, thanks for the info. I'm having e-mail probs, so I haven't contacted Edge yet.

As far as the isolator goes, I'm using anti-freeze.

Thanks again for the help.

I heard from Edge today. In the event anyone is interested, the EZ defaults to the second setting when there is no jumper.

Thanks
