Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) EZ, hy35, egt's, and a wastegate

ok guys,



I got the ez on and it is working perfectly. I love the new found power. I haven't towed with it yet, but will eventually and was wondering if there is a good way to keep my egts down. I have the hy turbo with a hardline. Is there a good way to get more boost by shutting off the wastegate or I was really just wanting to be able to tow safetly and keep my egts down.

Do you have a J-hook on the wastegate? it's a heavy spring that slow down the opening of the gate.

nope. Does anyone have any pictures or instructions for the J-hook thing? What side affects does it have?

Tmills I emailed you some pics of a simple fix to the wastegate, You should be able to get around 32lbs boost or so out of your HY. Good luck.

Ok, is this j-hook thing really worth it? I don't want to hurt my turbo, but I do want to be in the safe egt range.



How much does the j-hook bring down egt's?

How will this affect the life of my turbo and what should I be careful about?
