EZ install on a '99

OK, OK..... I know this is supposed to be "EZ", but I seem to be having a little trouble.



I'm attempting to install an EZ on my buddy's '99 ETC. I have not been able to locate the data link connector anywhere. The box and the instructions say that it should be a triangle shaped connector, but I can't find anything resembling it. The is also an adapter included in the package that goes from the triangle connector to a three prong flat connector. I thought that maybe I was supposed to use that, but the only available plug I can find is a two prong flat (into which the adapter doesn't fit).



Any suggestions from anyone as to where to look, or is it supposed to go into that two prong flat connector?

The data-link is located on the drivers side, in the wire-harness, near the power-steering pump, it should have a cap/cover on it, as nothing is plugged into it, yet.

... ... and its grey in color. It's loose, dangling on a short lead of wire, as Rob said, just ahead of the power steering pump under the injection pump. This is all specific to a '99.

What Rob said,on my buddies,there are 2 3 way grey connectors,side my side,taped tight to the harness actually haed of the P/S pump. One is used,one has a cap,the one with the cap is the one you want. Have fun. I had to search awhile after being used to the 2000/2001 locations.

Found it...

OK, so it was pretty "EZ" after all.....



The correct plug was right next to the two prong plug that I had found. They actually came out of the main harness at the same place. The way it was tied to the harness had it hidden from view though. Once I untied the loom, it was right there staring at me.



Thanks to Rip for taking time out of his day to help me out (as well as giving me a good deal on the EZ).



Needless to say, my buddy is all smiles right now. Oo. Oo. Oo. Oo.
