Well thanks to my nephew (he's the one that got me addicted to bombing) I now have the Edge EZ unit installed. The factory setting is #3, which is the most aggressive position so that's where I left it for testing purposes. All I can say is WOW what a difference! Travelling north on a hunting trip I pulled out to pass a slowpoke (60 mph/100 km) just accelerated with the normal amount of pedal and before I new it I was 140 km/hr plus. Oh what a thrill! When returning home I pulled our utility trailer with 2 quads and a bunch of gear (3000 lbs. ) and ran in 5 th gear with cruise set at 100 km/hr. When I pulled out to pass the acceleration was like not having a trailer behind at all. As I mentioned I left is on setting #3 for testing only but it's gonna be hard to select a less aggressive position.

It sure puts a smile on my face. :) :D :)

Formy, glad to hear that you are happy with the EZ box, I felt (and still do) the same way when I first installed it on my truck. The EZ and large injectors make one heck of a daily driver. I wouldn't worry about switching settings much unless you add showerhead injectors and are concerned about smoke. My box has never been off the most aggressive setting, still very streetable, even with the step 5 injectors, at least from where I sit :D .

You may thank your nephew now, give it a year or so... you'll want to smack him and then ask for a loan as you just have to have more ;) .

One thing I've noticed about our ETH/DEE with stock injectors and the EZ on setting #3 - it ain't smoke free as advertised! I've noticed when I get on it at night that I could see some haze in the headlights of the cars fast disappearing in the rear view mirror. Well, Saturday night I met my wife at a restaurant, and she wanted to drive the truck home to "show off" to her friend how it ran, so I followed her home in her Durango. Whenever she nailed the throttle (and she did a number of times :D ), the truck put out a pretty good puff of black smoke until the boost hit, and even then it left a little haze as it was disappearing into the distance.

All things considered, I think I can live with it to get the performance, but it makes me wonder about those DD2's, especially when towing the 5ver.

So what next?

Hooked! Just like a druggy the first time they try heroine! Just need more and more and more..... hehehe :D

So when are we doing the guages and injectors?

I've left mine on setting 3 and not moved it since. It's too much fun.

The grand transformation of a vehical into an obsession-based, fun filled money sponge.

Hey wait, YOU guys are the bad influence here.

That's my excuse anyway. Works for me.

Cheers,

Shawn

Guages

Shawn I realise the gauges are very important but at 4 bills it will have to wait. There are other higher priorities like hunting.

Also I didn't have a chance to tell you but when I was at my local Shell car wash the door came down on my NEW truck scratching the clear coat on the hood. So today it was at the dealer getting the scratches removed only to find that when I arrived to pick it up they couldn't find the key. Good job I had a spare with me. My comment to the dealership was "when you find my key I'll pay the bill".

I just can't believe the $#@!% I’ve been through with this truck and I’ve only had it 2 months.
