EZ level 4 and turbo bark

I've been running my EZ on level 4 for the last 2000 miles or so, and one thing I've noticed is that I can very easliy get the turbo to bark. Under mild acceleration (maybe half to 3/4 throttle), and only backing down slightly when the transmission shifts, I get the loud "thunk" from the passenger side engine compartment. Is there a remedy for turbo bark, other than not backing off the throttle :-laf , or just setting the box to level 2 or 3???????

Piers told me to remove the silencer ring. When I took it out, no more bark!!!! Let us know if it works for you too!

After installing exhuast, pg7 and taking out the silencer ring no bark at all.

I was under the impression that Bark was bad for the turbo. So I'm curious if removing the silencer ring eliminates the problem, or if it just hides the symptoms.....

I stopped the issue I had. You might check it out. IT takes about 10 minutes to remove.

Wow. My truck is completely stock. I hear the turbo "bark" on a daily basis. I have the automatic, when accelerating up hill, the three to four shift will cause the "bark" everytime. That is really good information. I will take the ring out and hope that resolves it.
