EZ Mileage

I recently installed an Edge EZ on my 2003 HO. Mileage on the overhead computer shot up by several mpg (to mid 20's). Does the EZ screw up the computer calculations, or is this an actual increase. No, I have not yet had time to check it by actual calculation, but was wondering what others had seen. I did not see this effect on my 2002.

With the Edge EZ installed on mine, whatever the computer is reading then I subtract 3 from it. Thats what it normally figures out to be.

The mileage on the overhead is incorrect due to the nature of the EZ box fooling the computer of fuel flow.



Your actual fuel mileage depends on the EZ setting... I use the computer only to tell realitive fuel mileage ie: is it lower or higher.

Thanks guys! That's what I suspected. Even minus 3 or 4 mpg, I'm still around 20, so I can't complain. I haven't had the safety reflash redone, and am avoiding it until when/if the cruise gives me a problem.
