Ok its time to start bombing my ETH. I'm going to start by adding a mild box. I've narrowed it down to either an EZ or the DD True Torque Power Module. I figure i'll start with a box than later upgrade my clutch to a South Bend than after that put injectors in. From reading the old posts i've learned that a TTPM is an EZ with differnt curves. I probably wont put a clutch or injectors in until the Fall. How does the TTPM compare to the EZ with no other mods? This summer my truck will be used primarily to pull my 5'ver which weighs about 10,000 pounds. For my application would the EZ or TTPM be more suited for me? Thanks

DDTTM

Cummins, I have DD box and it works great. The folks at DD said the difference is that the DD box has a little less total advance than the Edge box, hence a bit milder. You can't go wrong with either one.

I would go with the DD version. They say it works very well with DD injectors and it allows your engine to run a little smoother since it has less advance that the EZ.

Hope this helps.

Go for the DD version, I have not heard one hammer like the EZ does on some trucks. Same power, less timing. DD is the one.

Just another thought.....

If you are sure that you won't be going any bigger then you might want to call the folks at DD and ask if they have something like the EZ Pulse. It's an adjustable EZ from inside the cab. It is not like the Comp where it adds 140hp, and taps the pump wire, but is controlable from inside the cab like the Comp. If I only wanted the EZ or TTPM then this is what I would go for.

1 Year & 49000 miles on the DD TT box (54. 5K on the truck) You will like it & it is a very good base for upping the power w/ larger injectors:) I have no complaints & would one buy again.

I have had the EZ since they were available... I love my ez. I think if you are going to get bigger injectors then you should go for the DD, if not get the EZ.

I tow a very heavy fiver and I can say that the added power and torque from my TTPM are very noticeable. Also gives me great mileage.

Hope you mentioned TDR

TDR folks used to get a discount from DD with a valid TDR member number, don't know if that is still available, wouldn't hurt to ask.

DDTT I have one and enjoy evey moment. I just installed DD2's and slipped the clutch on the most aggressive setting (adding fuel after 5 pounds of boost). :{ :{ Put the setting back to timming only and still have more power :D :D than just DDTT . The clutch is holding fine for now and will be replaced as soon as funds replunishOo. Oo. Oo. The DDTT produced 253hp/ 630tq on a stock truck at the rear wheels. Good luckOo.
