which of these is better for a 2002? looking for a christmas gift for dad! i love my Van Aaken but the EZ is good also. do they even make these for the 2002? TIA..... james

Out of curiosity, what type of truck does he have? 2500, 3500... 4x... 2x... . auto... stick. . ??

I ask because when we had our dyno days here in Colorado we were playing with EZ boxes and we noticed that the EZ gives more power to a truck with an Auto transmission then one with a Manual transmission.

We had several instances where we noticed that an EZ will only give a truck with a manual transmission around 10HP (I dunno if it's an altitude thing or what), though trucks with an Auto transmission were seeing anywhere from 20-30hp gains.

Hope this helps

10 HP ??

K_Arts,

I don't know where the manual trans truck started, but my H. O. ran stock on the dyno at 212hp. With the EZ (no boost elbow) it ran 244hp same day, same dyno 10, minutes apart...

Yeah, I saw several EZ's running on trucks. . and they got the best improvement on Autos. Again... I don't know if it is an altitude thing or what... but off hand I know of 4 trucks that have a manual transmission that only gained around 10hp with an EZ.

I only saw 2 trucks with VA's, but we didn't run tests between stock and with the VA. So I really can't comment on them.

I don't know if it matters to you but the PNP2 plugs ito the back of the VP44, not the data port.

Never mind I read your post quick, I thought you had the EZ and wanted info on the PNP.
