I understand that the EZ and Comp are identical in performance when the pump wire is not hooked up, but is the pump wire the only other hookup in the engine compartment along with the in cab controls? Also can the pump wire be tapped with a quick connector so you can unhook the pump wire for everyday driving? My reasoning is the life of the lift pump can come into play with the comp and the vp44. I have plenty of power for my needs but was looking for more when I pull at the truck pulls. Edge wants about $350 to trade in my EZ. DW

If you tap the pump wire it leaves a track on the wire insulation that is non reversable, you could put a slip connector on but you still have evidence there, this will void your warrenty so be ready to be your own warrenty station. The comp will hookup the same with the addition of the pump wire and also a hot wire in the cab. As far a everyday driving if you just turn on the comp it is the same as an ez but you then have 5 adjustable stages from there, and if you turn the comp off its like it aint there at all. Sounds like a good price though

I'm looking for the same setting as my EZ for everyday driving and the chance to turn it up for a pull. So does the comp on level 1 run the same as my EZ? I'm concerned about the life of the LP and the VP44 as has been posted many times before. The warranty issue is long gone for me. The EZ is a great runner for pulling my trailor and the skid loader which can run up to 10500 lbs total. EGT's top out at 1150, can't ask for better than that. DW

EZ Comp Injector Wire Color?

When hooking the gray wire from the EZ Comp to the injector wire.

Is that the wire from the nine pin connector?

The black wire?

Thanks in advance
