Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Need Advice on Engine Problem

I have a smokin deal offered to me on a Edge Comp. I am pleased with the EZ I have. I am concerned that I am asking too much from my stock situation if I make the hop to the Comp. I do a little towing (camper and 4000lb trailer). I am worried about the clutch slipping on hills (stock clutch) when in the midrange positions on the Comp. Truck has 130,000klm and I did not plan on going down the "injector or turbo road" . I have 18psi of fuel pressure at idle and about 10 at WOT . I see some guys have reported very low pressure when going to level 4-5. Any help would be appreciated.

The stock clutch will most likely slip with the heavier fueling. Also the stock lift pump has a hard time keeping up with the greater fuel demands so larger lines are needed at least. A better pump is highly advisable. Relocating the OEM pump near the tank helps. No doubt you would enjoy the extra power but it's a slippery slope.

if you just have the comp and a FP gauge a big line kit and pump relocation kit will be fine.

Save for an organic or OFE clutch, the stock ones days are numbered.
