The way I understand it from a previous thread is: If Cummins does a scan w/ their equipment, which digs deeper than Chrysler's, then they can find a fault. It detects some difference between actual fuel used and actual fuel requested by the computer. I hear your average Chrysler dealer won't have a clue and neither will the majority of Cummins techs.

Yes, it does help fuel mileage.

Any of the black powering boxes=EZ Edge, will void the warranty if caught on the truck. Mileage will increase if you can keep your foot out of it, About 1-2 mpg.

I have had my EZ on for over a year and over 20k miles, no problems, great power improvement. When i go to the dealer, its 2 simple plugs and the truck is back to stock. Its a great item

I know of a particular EZ in the classified section that can be had real quick. ;) :D

My DTT stuff is being done next week at MASSDIESEL, I just put guages in yesterday and its time to upgradeOo.

I didn't see any MPG increase with my EZ. It does help out on the get up and go of the truck. I dropped 2 MPG b/c I liked the new found power. Recently I have been driving normal around 60-65 on the hwy and I only see 19 MPG with only 9500 miles on the truck. I put the EZ and boost elbow on at around 1300 miles.

D/C finding EZ codes

I have an EZ also, not any change in mileage. Lot more zip.

Also, I have read on here that if you are going to the dealer tomorrow, take the box off tonight and remove BOTH ground cables from battery. This dumps the codes and the PCM goes back to normal:confused:

Disconnecting the batteries will clear the MIL (check engine) light. The codes are still in place unless cleared using a scan tool. As reduaram states, those fueling parimeters are there for Cummins to check, as well as max. boost, from what I understand.

But doesnt the EZ have a boost module built in? Then the max boost stored my the ECM would be whatever the EZ told it correct? I've got a VA and a boost module/elbow and havent set a code with it yet.

Mr B. I believe you are correct, at least by logic:rolleyes: Otherwise the pcm would start defueling evertime you exceeded the factory boost level? On a recent trip I saw several 26-28 lb hills.

What was previously posted is that the pcm gets used to the EZ or whatever box, and by that they can readily tell that you just disconnected it. But by taking the power off for a while restores it. And they can't tell you had the box, since it will not set a code with the elbow installed.
