F-1 injectors like electronic boxes?

I was reading another thread where Bob Wagner stated that the F-1 injectors were primarily designed for use with electronic boxes. Since I'm getting older and remember less each week, would someone explain how the box makes a big diff and is a DDTTPM (edge EZ) enough of a box to be used with these injectors. I do remember Bob saying Don can alter the injectors to work w/o boxes, but I'd like to stay with what works with a box.

There's no issue with F-1's and boxes that I know of, either with or without them. I've got Mach 2. 4's and a comp, and now Marco's CaTCHER, and they all get along fine. Bob has been trying to get 400 RWHP without tapping the VP-44 wire... . he just did . He sold his box... EZ or Comp with no wire tap (don't remember which) after getting Marco's ECM and went for the 400 hp with Don's injectors.

You can use any series Mach injector with your ddtpm.



I just dynoed 401 with no box at all, just the CaTCHER ecm and a set of Mach 4 injectors.



I suggest going back and reread that thread.

I have Mach 4's and most of the time I leave my Comp box on 1x5 (ez mode), and that's a great combo. When towing I turn the Comp box off, and with just the Mach 4's about the highest EGT I get is 1150. 1/4 mile times without the comp turned on is 14. 43, with the Comp in ez mode (1x5), I ran 13. 82. Of course the higher I set the comp box the quicker I go. See other mods in my sig...
