Good Day. Well I Have The fass system now for 1 week and the pump is dead. The truck will not start and the fass will not even make a sound. So if anyone has idea why please let me Know. Keith

always start with the simplest stuff first--

blown fuse

ground wire loose

power wire loose

plumbed wrong

wired wrong

you got a bad pump to start with

see what happens if you run wire directly from the battery to it--if it doesn't run it's definitely dead --but if it runs then something is not right in the wiring--chris

Well I went and wired it straight to the battery and it still did not turn. Checked if it is plumed right and it is. so know idea what is going on. But keep the ideas coming.

Well I called the mech. who put it in for me and he will replace the pump under warr. and he will also do the vp-44 and also clean the tank out.

Why? Why the vp and tank deal? Is he charging you for that? Also check out the brushes under those two black caps on the motor. Have seen a few now (Mine included) that have done this. Just pop em out wipe em off and stuff em back in and start her up. Time = 3 minutes or less.

I kinda figured you were gonna have problems when you stated in an earlier thread that you were seeing 16psi even when the truck wasn't running. Let us know what it does once you get it back from the mechanic..... Jim

He is replacing the VP-44 because I will be putting on about 1000 to 1500 km before I can get the truck to him. The brushes are clean and look good. The fuse is also good. The tank is to clean it out and he will not charge me for all that. But good ideas and keep them Coming. I'm going to try to get in tomorrow and I will let you all know that happened

Thanks Keith

Did u put ur LP back on or are u gonna try to drive the 1000-1500km with just the VP?Not quite sure u will get very far with the VP only pulling fuel through the dead pump. Any else have an idea about this??

If he is doing the VP for free by all means "blow it up" and get a new one, otherwise safe ur cash and hope the VP isnt toast already.

Is this a dealership or an independant mechanic?

Just my 2cents

J-

what about the relay?

Good Day. Well just finished cleaning out the fuel tank and it was clean. so it is not dirt that is killing the pumps.

JCyrbok. ya I will try to keep on going on just the VP. No I did not put in the LP it would of been to much work. So far I have gone 1234 km Just on the VP but it is scary. Yes the VP is going to be done for free because of the KM I have to drive. Yes it is my mech. not the dealer. the relay is still good also. But thanks for the idea. Any else have an idea about this??

well Had the girl at the mech and we did it all. So now all I hope for is to keep it out of there. The FASS had died to pump motor failure and the injector pump died to over working. The injector pump now has a bad clicking sound. Hope I don't get that one next. HA HA HA Thanks Keith :)
