Where is a good place to buy F. A. S. S. replacement filters?



2 or 3 micron would be great too!

I go by fuel pressure. When it drops off by 2 PSI cold and idling, I replace it. I found out the hard way that when you use the 6604, 2 pounds drop means it is getting close. My average for the 10 micron was 5000 miles. seems to be about 3500-4000 for the 6604.



124,000 and counting. FASS on since 40,000. Never missed a lick. .

also what kind of pressure are you guys seeing? my gauge is at the fass itself and im seeing 15-17 psi.

I am real happy for you, However, having been stranded 20 miles from El Centro for 7 hours taught me 2 things, change when you see a pressure drop, and carry a spare. These things give no warning. Like any other system, I don't really care to see just how far I can push it.

Ok where can I order a Fleetguard HF 6604, I went to my local Cummins Southern Plains dealer last night. They don't stock that filter and the parts guy said looking a computer system they had never sold one at that location. I could have him order for $78 and about 10 days. I thought I could find one online, but so far no luck. I have about 20,000 on mine and have noticed about a 1 psi reduction at idle and cruising from normal.

So a $70 filter every 5,000 miles. In 100,000 miles that's 20 filters, $1400. $200 for regular filters. You can buy a new injection pump for the cost savings. I have 158k on the stock injection pump and lift pump. (shouldn't of said that huh?)

I have an entire list of filters and ratings in a thread over in the products forum... search my name and FASS... should come up.



There are only two 3 micron filters that I found... the Fleetguard HF6604 and a Donaldson. I found the Baldwin BT8509-MPG (about $50) was equal to a HF6607 (6 micron), and after I run these HF6604s out, I plan on switching. Considering the factory filter is 10 micron, even 5 micron is an improvement.



Only going to change mine at about 30k or if I see the light flickering/guage low... I carry a cheap WIX51202 as a backup filter ($15 at the local parts house, 5 micron) since I travel crosscountry.
