F150 motor ?'s

I know the 6. 0 diesel in the fords is a problem but what about the 150's. I have a friend that is a die hard ford owner and I remember something being said about them anyone have a link to what the problem might be/correction needed/motor(s) effected? Unsure if I can presuade him but at least I can warn him.
