Diesel Girl goes Amsoil

The company just bought a 1997 F800 Ford with a 12 valve (175 HP)cummins and 5 speed eaton transmission. Does any know if there are any differences in this engine and the one we use in our Dodge's. I would like to get a few more ponies out of her. TIA

I cant speak much on the F-Series 12V Cummins engines... but I do know that the ISB 24V F-Series engines are very much like their Dodge 24V counterparts. Our companies F-750 lost a lift pump and trashed the VP44 leaving our truck stranded. :( . See... exactly the same as the Dodge units. Funny thing was the truck is a mechanics truck that is supposed to fix "other" broken down diesels. I know thats not what your looking for but I had to mention it.

At the risk at sounding like a technicrat, I didn't think Ford built anything bigger than a 750 due to a non-compete clause when they sold their heavy truck division to Damlier??

The truck is a 97. Was the buy out after then? The truck is a F800.

I guess I better start looking for a fueling plate and 370's:D
