Well I wanted to do something to the front end, and really liked the way the Fabtech Double Shock Mount (part # FTS3400-50) looked and was made. I have been a Fabtech fan since I used there products on a ford pre-runner truck, They are just made fantastic. The level of engineering and attention to detail is way above most lift manufactures. Only problem was they don't make one for the Dodge 3500 4x4. They do make one for the 1500 Dodge 4x4, so I thought why not, I'll make it fit. Today I installed it on my dodge, It did take pretty much all day, but I got it to fit, and it looks great. Really wasn't much to modify, just a few little things that are different with a dana 60, then a 44. I left the springs in, they tell you to remove them and it would be easier, but I left them in and still got it on. The parts are very well made and the fit is great. Why they don't sell one for the larger trucks I don't know. I mounted dual reservoir shocks on the front and the look is awesome. I would recommend this kit to anyone wanting a dual shock set-up, and a little creative in the mechanical department. I don't have a digital camera, but I will take some pictures and have them put on a disk. I will post when i have them back.

Today was test drive day, I finnaly got thw wheels back on and headed down the road. I really love my new ride, it is much smoother and seems to steer nicer. The dual mount looks killer and with the dual resivors sticking out it draws alot of attension. I must say, this ended up with a much better ride then I had thought possible. I would not bat an eye, on doing it again. One thing I got that I did not expect was the front sits about 1-2" higher now, am I can feel it going down the road. On my short test drive I got many double takes, and stairs. Most are not use to seeing a dually this high, and decked out. If you were considering a dual mount, the FabTech one would be a great choice. It goes on very nicely and needs almost no modifications. The look is great, and catches your eye, and the ride is much improved, and smooth.
